The nosy twang of Dwight Yoakum is only surpassed by his mentor, Buck Owens. He has always been true to his influences and style. He tweaked the Bakershfield sound, and made it sound fresh. But what is strange, is that this West Coast Boy, is actually from the heart of coal mine country in Kentucky. His home state has enducted him into their Hall of Fame along with Crystal Gayle, Norro Wilson, Florence Henderson, and Les Mccann. It is strange to hear that this musician and actor, grew up in the same part of the state as Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gayle and Patty Loveless. Yoakum is not a poser, but is amazing to see the humble beginnings to which these artists began their life.
