Storm Remodels The Bare Household

The weather in Nashville has been nothing short of bizarre. During last week we experienced all four seasons. Temperatures were rising and dropping dramatically, people were catching colds, and trees were crashing through houses. It started out just like any typical week in January. The temperature was averaging in the mid 30s, but during mid week it started turning mild. The weather went from jack frost to hellfire and brimstone in a heartbeat. Strong winds from thunderstorms were bending road signs and knocking down trees. I know this because I was here at work that night watching some of the carnage.

It turns out that the storms were a little more violent than what I witnessed on Thursday night. Jeannie Bare, Bobby Bare’s wife, was almost crushed from a tree that fell right through the middle of the couple’s Hendersonville home. The tree came crashing through the roof and landed on the same couch where she was sitting. She managed to crack two vertebrae from the accident, but is already recovering at home. It seems that the spirit of “Marie Laveau” might have rescued her just at the right moment to avoid a serious, probably fatal injury.
