Tribute to Merle Haggard
I am pretty sure the last thing that Leona Williams threw at Merle Haggard was a vase, but now she is throwing him a bone. She has released a tribute album “Leona Williams Sings Merle Haggard,” which is available on line. She was not only married to Merle, but was also his writing partner on many songs. She penned two of Merle’s hits “You Take Me For Granted” and “Someday When Things Are Good.” Country Music is about burying the hatchet and resolving our differences to make it all about the music.
