Here at Purecountrymusic.com we pride ourselves in actively pursuing hard to find country music and movies. One of our top sellers is the classic film Second Fiddle To A Steel Guitar. It was filmed in 1965, and it focused upon the country music jamboree, which was shot right here in Nashville. There are some performances on this DVD that you would be hardpressed to find. You will catch artists such as Kitty Wells, Sonny James, Connie Smith, Minnie Pearl, and Webb Pierce in their prime. This fantastic movie was a part of Marathon Pictures, which was founded by Victor Lewis and Audrey Williams. Lewis was responsible for the production of the film Country Music on Broadway. He was also the mastermind behind the successful Hank Williams Memorial Show. Sadly, he passed away Thursday in DelRay, Fl. He was 86 years old.
