Can You Duet: Season 2

Well, it’s time to find the next clone of Sugarland. Season 2 of Can You Duet kicks off tonight. The industry can’t get enough of country duos. It does seem like a sure fire way to sell records. I just can’t wait for the voo doo-like predictions from Naomi Judd, performance advice from Big Kenny, and artist-devlopment tips from Scott Borchetta. Because when I think of country music, I think of these two. I understand having current artists and executives having a hand in the judging process, but one thing that country music has taught us, it is that artist integrity should always be first. Wouldn’t it be great if someone like Cowboy Jack Clement or Hank Cochran were guest judges. Then again, they would probably tell the producers where they could shove their show.

    totally agree that Hank Cochran and Jack Clement would be good judges for Can You Duet.
