Some bands come and some bands go. I had got the impression that Exile had taken there name literally and fell off the face of the earth. I have always been an Exile fan. My first experience with the guys was at the Franklinton Fair in Franklinton, LA. I was young, but I remembered a great perfor-mance. I have always considered them the Doobie Brothers of Country Music. If you concentrate closely you can definitely hear the subtle Michael Mcdonald influenced vocals of J.P. Pennington on songs, such as, “She’s A Miracle” and “Woke Up In Love.” Guess what? I have recently received an email stating that the band is reuniting. In June, They had received an invitation to perform a benefit concert in Lexington, Ky, and just for ole time sake, they accepted. They said it was like they never left, and that is saying a lot with 23 years of being apart. The crowd went wild over the performance, prompting them to reform. Exile has already made plans to organize a new tour and a new record. Keep your eyes glued to GAC-TV on November 4, because the boys will be performing live at the Grand Ole Opry. And if you are in the Nashville area on November 5th you will be able to catch them at 3rd and Lindsley.
