#1 Country Music Actor

I am sorry it has taken me so long to get to #1. I tried to approach it with a delicate touch. This genius singer/songwriter is probably the most overqualified artist in country music. He is a Rhodes Scholar. He was an Army officer and taught at West Point. He probably could have ran for office. However, he gave all this up and became a janitor for Columbia Studios in Nashville. He was that determined to have a career in the industry. Determination such as this, never goes unrewarded. He began writing songs for the likes of Roger Miller, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash. Of course, I am speaking of Kris Kristofferson. But this is not about what he has done musically, this is about is acting chops. Kristofferson is not a novelty act. If anything, he can even make a film a little better with his involvement. Whether it is playing ‘The Duck’ in the cult classic Convoy, or his masterful role as Billy the Kid in Peckinpah’s classic Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid, acting is as natural to him as songwriting. At least, it seems like it. He also creates chemistry between his fellow actors. In Blade, Snipes and Kristofferson were the perfect fit.
He can make the worst movie smell a little fresher. Tell me you didn’t light up when he appeared in Fire Down Below. How did they get him? He must of owed a favor to Steven. To Kris, who never gets any younger or older, keep making movies, we will watch them.
