This is just a verbal high-five to Joey & Rory for being nominated for a ACM award. The are up for Vocal Duo of the Year, right along with Brooks & Dunn, Sugarland, Big & Rich,and Montgomery Gentry. However, I already know the outcome,”And the winner is, Sugarland.” I guess they deserve it. If you look at popularity and chart success, they are a shoe-in. I just prefer the unpretentiousness of Joey & Rory as opposed to a distorted version of “Life in a Northern Town.” Even Picasso would say, “Due What?”  

Brooks & Dunn had a great run, but ”Cowgirls Don’t Cry” is not enough. They should make a to-do-list with one item.  Revert back to making neo-traditional Honky Tonk. This is what put them on the map.  Big Kenny should move to Darfur and John Rich should get bulldozed along with his approved Temple. I don’t dislike Montgomery Gentry, but how they have made it this far, I will never know. Are they a parody of themselves? If they ever make Fire Down Below 2:Recycle This, they should be the two guys who always come back for more signature Seagal close-lines.
