Country’s Most Beautiful Women and Sexiest Men of 2008

Well here it is 2009 and it’s time to reflect on the moments and memories of 2008.  According to Country Weekly these ten men were voted most sexy for 2008:

Coming in at number ten, Tim McGraw.  This year Tim released a few new songs and had a supporting role in the movie Four Christmases.  He also talked about running for Tennessee governor in the next election.  Number nine goes to Blake Shelton, who is still dating Miranda Lambert.  He also released a few new songs in ‘08 and looks forward to ‘09.  The eight spot goes to Keith Anderson who is most famous for his song Pickin’ Wildflowers.  Lucky seven goes to Jeff Bates known for his song Long Slow Kisses, and resides somewhere around Murfreesboro, TN.  Sexy six goes to the Australian, Keith Urban.  Yes, he’s still married to actress Nicole Kidman so ladies back off he’s taken.  Making it in the top five at the fifth spot is Jack Ingram.  In my opinion Jack and Keith from Down-under have similar looks.  Coming in fourth is Chris Young, yep, he’s a keeper.  Number three goes to Toby Keith.  I think there must have been a blip in the system on this one…sorry ladies I just don’t find Toby attractive, he wants to be a manly-man but he shaves his arm pits???  What’s up with that?  Anyway spot number two goes to Gary Allen, who’s biggest hit this year was Watchin’ Airplanes. 

So who is the sexiest man in country music?  Well, it goes to the tall drink of water known at Trace Adkins!  Some say he’s known for his Honkytonk Budonkadonk and he explains well why Ladies Love Country Boys.  This year Trace sang in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and released a few new songs.  Congrats Trace for taking home number one!

Ok, now that we have talked about the top ten sexiest men, let’s talk about the top ten most beautiful women in country music from 2008. 

Coming in at number ten, Miranda Lambert.  Best known for her singles Famous in a Small Town and Gunpowder and Lead.  We are all waiting on her up and coming new album due for release in early 2009.  Number nine goes to that teen idol, Taylor Swift.  Taylor’s most recent hit was her song Love Story which she performed live on the 2008 CMA Awards.  She also had a new CD release in 2008, Fearless.  Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland takes home number eight.  This past year Sugarland’s hit Stay  was at the top of the charts.  Sugarland also released a new CD in 2008 which includes the songs All I Want to Do and Already Gone. (This is an awesome album, I suggest purchasing it.)  One of my all time favorite artists takes home the lucky seven spot.  Of course I’m talking about Sara Evans.  Sara did not have a lot going on in the music world in 2008, but I’m wanting her to release a new album this year.  Six goes to Martina McBride, who’s most recent activities included singing with the King of Rock and Roll, yes, Elvis Presley.  Martina sang a song with Elvis on the new Christmas release, Christmas Duets.  (Also a great album.)  Making it in the top five in the fifth spot is Kellie Pickler.  She released a new album in 2008 as well, my favorite song on that new album is Rocks Instead of Rice.  Spot four goes to Shania Twain who has been laying low on the music scene, but was present at the 2008 CMA Awards.  Number three goes to none other than Reba McEntire!  Although her comedy series on TV stopped, it was still a good year for Reba.  Recently releasing a duet with Brooks & Dunn.  Number two goes to Faith Hill, this Mississippi Girl has almost fallen completely from the country music scene especially after her 2007 CMA Awards reaction when the Female Vocalist of the Year award went rightfully so to Carrie Underwood.

So who takes home most beautiful women in country music?  Well is there any question that it would go to Carrie Underwood?  Nope didn’t think so.  This American Idolshows over and over that she’s got what it takes.  I’m hoping for a new CD release in 2009 from Carrie, her previous album was great with Just a Dream and Before He Cheats.  I love those songs…I’m hoping for big things for Carrie as we dive into 2009.

So there you have it, those are the line ups for 2008 and we will all see what 2009 has in store.

    Hate to say it but swimmers shave, have you ever seen a hairy chippendale. Lots of men shave. Geeze. Toby is hotter than any of those other guys. I would take Toby over any of those other guys any day.

    Well Jean, you can have him…Yes swimmers shave, and I’ve seen runners shave as well…but they have a reason to. Toby is not a swimmer or a runner…so what is the point except to look weird while playing on stage?
