Easy now, Todd, on Glen Campbell. If you aren't a fan of his music and question whether he is a true country artist, that's fine, that's your right; I'm sure he's heard plenty on the latter in particiular. But I thought writing about it was supposed to make you feel better. C'mon Glen is one of the best singers and guitarists of the past 40 years. I always have enjoyed his music. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to listen to his new album, although I will admit he'd probably do better to steer clear of this project. If he does a good job of it, fine, but don't trash the rest of Glen Campbell's music just because he tries one ill-advised project.

Seriously... Green Day?! What a tool. Does this mean that just because Johnny Cash and Rick Rubin were able to pull off a collection of modern covers across various genres of popular music, the market is going to be flooded with crappy covers by everyone aging country singer healthy enough to enter the studio? Oh no. For the love of God, please no.
