Purecountrymusic loves to point people towards the latest hot spot to hear new and established artists. However, this is not about some hole-in-the-wall venue. Every Wednesday, WSM will set up shop from 7-9pm at the Loveless Cafe to broadcast its new show “Music City Roots: Live From The Loveless Cafe.” It will kick off on October 15, and will feature new and established artists. On the first night you will hear artists, such as, Pam Rose, Maryann Kennedy, Robin Ainger, Annie Crane, and the incomparable Emmylou Harris. What’s really exciting is that this is a weekly show. So everyone will have the chance to enjoy great music.  Each artist will perform a 30 minute set, and then after the main performance, they will come together for a collaborative jam. Tickets will be $10, and $5 with a student I.D.  The famous baritone of Eddie Stubbs will be on site to emcee, and the first show will be guest hosted by Jim Lauderdale.  Stroll on down to www.musiccityroots.com for a full listing of upcoming performances.

BTW–Loveless Cafe has amazing meals. The biscuits and homemade jams are world famous. I would have a tough time deciding between listening to the music or going over to the restaurant.
