Well CMT.com is looking for a new crop of failures, I mean aspiring artists. Season 4 of the strictly on-line talent show will start in 77 days. Could this show be anymore pointless. Have we heard any of the past finalists or winners so much as make a ripple in country music. If you look at the bios of past winners, you will find out that hardly any of them have quit their day jobs. If you don’t know the rules of the game, they are quite simple. Just submit a music video of you or your band performing a song. Of course, the finalists are voted upon from week to week. The Grand prize consists of four things: A trip to Nashville, one on one time with A&R developers from Valory Music, in which, they tell you that this is not really your thing, CMT then professionally produces your video(because you didn’t do a well enough job to begin with) and a trip to a Reba Mcentire concert with backstage passes. This consists of a few handshakes, pictures, and front row seats. Reba will then file you away into her short-term memory. This is just another excuse to improve CMT’s google rating. Save CMT the trouble. Do not submit your video.
