Kitty Wells has accomplished every milestone that an artist would want to in country music. She has had multiple hit songs, including becoming the first female country artist with a number one hit “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels.” Unfortunately, she has crossed over one milestone that no one would wish upon anybody, country artist or not. Ruby Wright, Wells’ daughter, has passed away at the age of 69 from a preexisting heart condition. You might have seen Ruby perform on the 1969 television program The Kitty Wells/Johnny Wright Family Show. Our prayers go out to Kitty and Johnny for this devastating loss.
