If you were thinking about purchasing tickets for the Opry, please consider tonight’s performance. Steve Wariner is honoring the most famous country guitar picker ever, Chet Atkins. Steve will get a full half hour performance to pay homage to Chet, which is a long time by Opry standards. There is no one more apt for this concert than Steve Wariner. Not only was Steve among the only four players that Chet christened as a certified guitar picker, but he is releasing an album that will honor the great instrumentalist. It will hit on June 23.
(I wonder if Steve has let his fingernails go untrimmed. Did you ever see Chet’s nails? He might have been a vampire.)
