The Re-evolution of the Game

It seems that country music still finds it’s way onto the silver screen. Tim Mcgraw and Sandra Bullock are starring in the upcoming film adaptation of Michael Lewis’ book The Blind Side: The Evolution of the Game. The movie’s title has been shortened to The Blind Side. This is the true story of Michael Oher, who is predicted to be this year’s first round pick in the NFL draft. We all know that Tim is just happy to add another film to his resume, but should Sandra fire her agent? Not at all. We wouldn’t call Sandra an A-list actress. She has starred or co-starred in such classics as Demolition Man, Speed 2, and While You Were Sleeping. This is not her first time co-starring with a musician, either. Sandra starred opposite Harry Connick, Jr in the sappy romantic drama, Hope Floats. Which by the way, featured a great country/rock soundtrack.

The last thing we saw Tim, on the big screen, was in the holiday movie Four Christmases. It was good for what it was. However, I think this is going to be a different role than the dead-beat dad that he played in Friday Night Lights. I tend to stay away from sports movies. It’s not because I dislike sports, I am a huge fan.  I just have to ask myself, do I want to see the same story-line recycled again and again?
